Sustainability under the Resolfin brand

We at Resolfin have always paid particular attention to environmental sustainability. In fact, we believe that everyone should do as much as

possible in their own small way to leave a better world than they received. Our environmental creed concerns not only our private life, but above all our daily actions in the workplace.

Sustainability Resolfin: our green brand

Since we started our production process, now over 30 years ago, we have strongly wanted a line designed specifically for the environment.

Over the years we have identified six guidelines for sustainability under the Resolfin brand:

  1. Use of solar energy for production;
  2. Purification and filtering of emissions into the atmosphere;
  3. Production of flags with the use of recycled (from pet) and recyclable polyester fabric;
  4. Print flags using 97% water-based Ecofriendly inks;
  5. Production of flagpoles and supports using aluminum and/or steel (100% recyclable);
  6. We participate in the reforestation of the planet with a tree planted for every roll of ECO fabric used.

Our sustainability: ResolGreen

From these six guidelines, our sustainable brand was born.

As much as we strive every day to make our contribution to environmental issues, we have decided to launch two new Green products on the market: ECOflag and ECObanner, both made from recycled polyester and perfectly recyclable.

ECOflag: sustainability within reach of the flag

After years of tests and studies, our Research and Development department, the spearhead of our reality, has managed to find the perfect fabric that equally combines both sustainability and the highest quality, a fundamental requirement for each of our products: l ‘ECOflag.

The fabric, made from recycled polyester, responded flawlessly to all our qualitative requests, both in terms of print quality and color take-over.

After years spent testing fabrics on fabrics, we finally have the product we were looking for: a professional 115 g/m2 nautical polyester capable of guaranteeing very high quality in terms of printing and resistance, but with the addition of coming from recycled polyester and, above all, be totally recyclable.

ECOflag: the identity card

Below is the detailed information on the product (which you can also find on page 18 of our catalogue):

  • Recycled polyester in compliance with OKO-TEX STANDARD, product class IV;
  • Specific weight 115 gr/m2 – white colour;
  • Certification B1 flame retardant DIN4102 -DINEN13501-1;
  • Traditional printing: printing on the front passing through the back (mirrored) at 90%;
  • Double-sided printing: double sided printed sheet with internal anti-transparency sheet (final weight 340gr/m2 – slight tendency to gray due to the internal black sheet);
  • Application: flags – sails – banners – bags – gadgets.

ECObanner: visible sustainability

The ECObanner was also born from the same ECOflag study, the best solution for those seeking visibility but not giving up on environmental sustainability.

This fabric differs from the previous one mainly in its weight and, therefore, in its different use.

In fact, the ECObanner reaches a weight of 600 g/m² for double-sided printing!

This product has a satin surface which makes it shiny-like, ideal for those occasions where an elegant product is needed that can guarantee maximum visibility.

Subsidy from European funds for regional development

finanziamento unione europea resolfin, regione lazio, italia, fondo europeo dello sviluppo regionale

Our sustainable project was also promoted by the Lazio Region.

In fact, we have received a regional grant for our project “New interconnected industrial automation system for improving the quality of the production process also in terms of safety and sustainability”.

The project had as its objective the improvement of our production process on three fronts:

  • Printing process innovation;
  • Safety for print operators;
  • Improvement of the activated carbon air treatment system.

Printing process innovation

Thanks to the subsidy from European funds for the development of the region, we have made a significant improvement in our printing process, both in terms of innovation and automation.

As far as automation is concerned, we have implemented the interconnection of digital printing machinery through remote control software, with the consequent increase in production in terms of efficiency, remote control of operations and a significant increase in quality standards.

Safety for print operators

Thanks to automation, our technicians are able to check the status of the printing process even remotely, effectively allowing them to be physically disconnected from the machine.

Not only an innovative implementation, therefore, but also on the safety of our press officers who will be able to easily get to grips with the machines while maintaining a remarkable safety distance.

It follows, therefore, that the funds have allowed us to physically separate the printing areas from the work areas of the employees, drastically reducing the risk of accidents at work and significantly increasing company safety.

Improvement of the activated carbon air treatment system

Instead, as far as the sustainability sector is concerned, the Lazio Region has allowed us to improve our air treatment management system.

Although our inks are 97% Ecofriendly , there is always a minimum of product waste: thanks to the activated carbon system, our new air treatment is capable of intercepting pollutants directly at the source, managing to retain the particles harmful to the environment and, in fact, purifying the remaining air.

European funds have helped to achieve our very high standards, not only ethical, but also environmental.
